From a pragmatic, realistic standpoint, the election here has gone reasonably well. Some of the candidates I hoped would win have done so. One candidate I loathed marginally less has also won - interesting to have voted for that one after never voting for him before.

Big hurray for the reelection of the woman who is the first African American (and the first woman) to hold her post.

One race is still too close to call - hoping the upstart finally beats the incumbent.

Once again I have not voted a straight party ticket.
